Getting Ready For Alaska

I am excited to be heading to Alaska in 4 days.  My plans have solidified and I will be heading out on the boat the Pacific Sun out of Homer AK.

Street Rat Fishing

Approach:  Practice casting for my fishing trip to Kenai in Alaska.  This is going to be my first real fly fishing trip. I may add in some deep sea fishing for Halubuit and King Salmon.  
  

I had a great weekend. I spent part of saturday afternoon and sunday morning throwing the fly rod around a bit. I spent the weekend in MN at Medicine Lake fishing off a friends dock. I caught quite a few sunnies and crappies. The sky was over cast and light wind all day.

My name is Chris Morris, and this is my fishing blog.  I grew up fishing on streams, rivers and lakes.  I have tossed spinners, poppers, and spent many hours trolling on Lake Superior and Lake Michigan.  I have cought almost one of ever species available in Wisconsin.  My favortive fish to catch is Salmon on Lake Superior.  I want to expand my fishing experience and learn how to better develop my fishing skills.
